The grapes used for this full-flavoured Chardonnay from the Codru area, Vorniceni, have been sourced from both warmer top peaks and cooler valleys, resulting in a balanced blend of rich and ripe aromas, vibrant acidity and soft structure. Tasting notes. Chardonnay Barrel Fermented 2021 opens with aromas of yellow pear, lemon, jasmine and a touch of oak, tantalizing notes of citrus, chamomile, orange blossom and brown butter. When blending the 2 parcels, the Chardonnay from the cold valleys gives us bright acidity, citrus notes, which are the backbone of the wine, and the Chardonnay from the warm valleys gives us a more mature, full-bodied character. The wine has a rich mid-palate weight, creating a complex, multi-layered wine and a lingering finish. Produced in an edition of only 500 bottles!
