Asconi Winery
The foundation of our wines is built on French varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat. But we have also planted other varieties such as Riesling, Malbec, Pinot Noir and many more. By 2024, we have planned to replace some of the existing vines and also add a few more varieties to our humble collection. Using the latest Italian technology, Asconi Winery has a production of over 3 million bottles per year, focusing mainly on white and red wines. The winery also produces roses, sparkling and dessert wines in more exclusive productions. Stainless steel tanks for both fermentation and storage that can hold up to 30,000, 60,000 and 150,000 liters each, juice concentrator*, a state-of-the-art bottling line with a speed of 8,000 bottles per hour – all these add to the quality of our wines. Asconi Winery is present in 5 continents with over 25 international markets including Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Canada, United Kingdom, USA, China, Japan, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Australia. *A juice concentrator is used to produce concentrated juice from the grapes in order to produce semi dry, semi sweet and sweet wines. This machine, unique in Moldova, allows us to produce the highest quality juice due to its work method of vacuuming and condensation at just 20-30 degrees celsius, in this way we retain the primary aroma of the grape. Asconi Winery red wines are full bodied and aged in 225 liter handmade American, Hungarian and French oak barrels, whilst white wines are stored in a fresh and aromatic style. Chardonnay from the Sol Negru line is an exception as it is fermented and aged in oak barrels for a fuller body. 60,000 bottles, Asconi Winery treasure is its legacy, a collection of handpicked wines divided into two parts: Old and New. The Old collection comprises of 40,000 bottles dated from the ’90. The New collection totals 20,000 bottles from more recent years with great aging potential.
Aurelius Winery
AURELIUS is a wine that surely could be compared with gold. Indeed, the brand originated in 2019 and its real value outreaches significantly the value of the noble metal – gold. Aurelius encompasses the gold of the soul and the nobility of thoughts of those devoted to the process of creating selected and unique wines. Aurelius is a Klondike of noble and still wines. Production of our wines requires strong knowledge and experience from our winemakers, who rigorously select the priceless spark of ideas that makes the wines so unique. We polish our wines in the way gold bars are polished, pouring into the bottles only the worthy wines of the highest quality. We look confidently into the eyes of those, who taste our products, and we observe in their eyes the golden kinship of our souls that makes us even prouder for the achieved results. In its constant search for excellence, elegance and character in a crafty wine that speaks about the amazing place it originates, Aurelius decided to make its wines in the city of Nisporeni, in the protected geographical indication – Codru. Codru is located in the central zone of Moldova and encompasses the main massive of the vineyards, around 60 thousand hectares (about 60%). The millenary oak and linden forests from the area have a positive impact both on the microclimate and on the distinct landscape consisting of valleys, dales and many small streams that create proper conditions for growing a wide variety of grapes. Light aerated soils characterized as being clayey and loamy, advantageous physical-geographical position, the landscape, the climate, but also the traditions of inhabitants, who work in the vineyards, have had an essential impact on the grape and wine evolution, so every single plot of vineyard is provided with a character that may be synthesized as Terroir. Thus, the Aurelius range of wines consists of a large assortment of quiet sparkling wines, the quality of which is the most authentic expression of the terroir. The vineyards located in the Codru area are provided with all the attention and care in line with to the principles developed and preserved from generation to generation, from father to son. Each single plot of vineyard has been carefully identified and its value increased. It is processed according to the latest technologies in order to eliminate herbicides and synthetic fertilizers, increasing the interventions during the green pruning, thus the vine retains all the characteristics of the soil and the energy of the sun. The traceability of Aurelius wines is perfect. The vineyards are located on a splendid site touched by the God blessing which impress with its authenticity at the very first sight. The vine area expands annually and covers the hill descending gradually into the valleys. The South-Western position and sun exposure allow the plateau to absorb the very first morning sunrays and to preserve the last ones. This region distinguishes itself by the personality of the vine and the sunny hillsides, by the softness of the white wines produced here, and especially by the traditional love of the inhabitants for the wine culture. The charm of Aurelius wines is determined by a perseverant attitude and a variety of correct stages and procedures which accompany the wine in its trip up to bottling. Starting from geographical indication, first planted sapling, harvesting each grape up to its transformation into a special wine, which is subsequently aged in French oak barrels and which turns over years into the DNA that we pour into the bottle from the shelve. Personality – this is what you should possess to choose Aurelius. Aurelius is always on the top!
Divus Winery
The quality of our DIVUS wine starts in the heart of the Codrilor. We take care of our wines in full harmony with nature, and then, guided by our passion, we transform the grappes into ample wines, which can unite different ideas and characters at the same table, calming spirits, giving impressions for a lifetime. I found the inspiration for this extraordinary work in the legend of the place. It is said that the god Dionysus himself chose him to descend among the people, teaching them to cultivate the vine, then calling it "divus" to mark the creative power of the earth. DIVUS, as in the legend, is the wine of true friendships, the wine that unites, the wine of the brave and of high hopes. The essence of time is expressed in DIVUS wines, where the character of each individual wine is presented. DIVUS Winery – is a small family winery, with a productivity of 60 thousand bottles annually, it is located in the central part of Moldova, more precisely the district of Străseni, the village of Vorniceni, 35 km from Chisinau. The winery starts writing history in 2020 when it was launched. The basic idea is to work with quality grapes and create special wine experiments, by the author. Divus is the winery that begins to write a history... ...wine, ambition, history is DIVUS !!!
